IS2E LIACC: The IS2E centre's mission is to develop fundamental and applied research in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics, in support of sustainable development goals and to seek intelligent technological solutions in the strategic interest of the insular region.

IS2E is a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Computational Science Laboratory (LIACC) at the University of Porto - https://liacc.fe.up.pt/liaccwp/.

IS2E LIACC is a recently formed group that develops projects in the AI field, intelligent robotics, educational robotics, as well as AI projects applied to the environment, education and the ocean.  

University of the Azores: The University of the Azores is the only public university in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and was established in order to advance sustainable development and higher education in the Azores. It has campuses in Ponta Delgada (S. Miguel island), Angra do Heroísmo (Terceira island) and Horta (Faial island), numbers approximately 279 permanent teaching and researching staff, 200 administration and lab technicians and 2.738 students, including undergraduate, MSc and PhD.
